kirchara has been obsessed with passionate about reading ever since she was three and obsessed with passionate about writing ever since she was nine.

She is the mother of a kind, patient and smart eleven-year-old and a creative, sensitive and smart six-year-old. Together they're sometimes sweet and sticky like bean and sugar, sometimes volatile like fire and gasoline.

The current purpose of this journal is to chronicle her kids' journey as they learn Mandarin, and her own journey as she teaches them Mandarin. (There will be some Bahasa Indonesia thrown in too.)
